Adventures on Oahu Recap

Episode 8: Adventures on Oahu Recap

Adventures on Oahu: Recap (VIDEO)

On this episode of Adventures on Oahu we went through a recap of our past podcasts. As the season of Adventures on Oahu is coming to an end we wanted to go back in time and review how our experiences was. This is a helpful episode because we get to go back and look over what we liked, what we could have done and how our over all experience was. Our group have noted that it was quite an experience but it was time consuming and stressful trying to schedule meeting days and times. Figuring out the whole podcast deal was also something that was new to all of us.

KCC Farmer's Market

Moanalua Gardens                               Bishop Museum
 Ala Moana                                    Magic Island
       Waikiki                                   Eat the Street

There were 7 tourist and local spots we visited. Kapiolani Community College Farmer's Market, Moanalua Gardens, Bishop Museum, Ala Moana, Magic Island and Ala Moana Beach, Waikiki and Eat the Street were the spots we did our podcasts on. These were mostly located in town because it was closer to everyone's convenience, not only it is convenient for our group, but it is convenient for tourists who are staying in Waikiki. These places are the most popular tourist and local places and is visited a lot.

We did wish that we could have went to places outside of town such as Haleiwa, Byodo-Inn in Kaneohe, Hanauma Bay and Diamond Head. But it was difficult for some of our group members to get to these places because of the distance. Overall this podcast was a learning experience. We learned to make a podcast and push it out through an RSS webfeed.

Thank you for watching!

Eat The Street, Kakaako

Episode 7: Kakaako Eat the Street (Bacon Night)

Adventures on Oahu: Eat the Street (VIDEO)

"Mobilizing Hawaii's Food Truck Community"

This is Eat The Street's statement.

Eat The Street is a food truck and street food rally. Eat The Streets is an event where Hawaii features at least 40 food trucks and food vendors to join together and give a chance for the community to taste the food trucks of Hawaii. Eat the Streets has been running for 3 years now and is only getting better.

On this episode of Adventures on Oahu, we had the chance to attend Eat The Street Kakaako located on 555 South St. This week at Eat the Street was the Bacon Night Theme where most of the food trucks incorporated bacon into one of their dishes. Eat the Street is usually held on the last Friday of each month but because of Thanksgiving weekend, they moved it to November 21st.
